Salt therapy for children

Halotherapy is a 100% natural therapy that can help both adults and children manage their nagging cold, allergy, and asthma symptoms. It can also be used to keep your child from getting sick, as a way to boost their immune system while staying healthy.

Bring the kids

At The Salt Suite®, you and your child are welcome to play and dig in the salt, watch TV, and simply spend quality time together, all while receiving the benefits of salt therapy. The children’s suite offers a multi-sensory experience for those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Clients of various ages with autism enjoy the children’s suite. It’s fun for the whole family!

Kids Health Issues

Ear Infections

Ear infections primarily occur because of the bacteria and viruses that reach the middle inner ear very easily, causing blockage in that area and inflammation. Your child’s ear infection can clear up a lot faster with salt therapy due to salt’s antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which help cleanse their ear canals and help with swelling.

Child Asthma

When your child breathes in the salt, it’ll help absorb the toxins and allergens in their respiratory tract, eliminating them from the body. By freeing your child of harmful allergens, you’re reducing the risk of triggering an asthma attack. You’ll also be able to manage irritating symptoms like shortness of breath, wheezing, and chest tightness.

Cold & Flu

When your child is sick, they have a buildup of mucus that cannot be drained due to the swelling or bacteria found in the respiratory tract or nasal passages. Help alleviate these symptoms with salt therapy — it’s antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and completely safe! When inhaled, the salt particles penetrate deep within the respiratory system and nasal passages of your little one, which help target and kill the bacterial pathogens and release mucus. Getting children to take medicine can be a tough sell, but salt therapy can be a fun way to provide them with natural relief.

Boost your child’s immune system

Keep your child from coming home sick from school or daycare by introducing salt therapy into their routine and boosting their immune system. As your kid breathes in the salty air in our children’s suite, it’s entering deep into their lungs, eliminating bacteria and pollutants from their respiratory tract. The children’s salt cave is a fun clean place to play.

Receive natural therapy while having fun

When you bring your child to The Salt Suite®, they’ll be able to play in a big sand box except with salt on the walls and floor, all while breathing in the dry salt air. You’ll see your child will look forward their session – it’ll become more of a fun visit than salt therapy. They won’t even know they’re being cared for in such a non-invasive setting.

Clear nasal passageways and reduce swelling

As the salt works its way into your child’s sinus and respiratory systems, it’s working as an anti-inflammatory agent, reducing inflammation, allowing the airways to open, and removing mucus from the body. You’ll notice that your child may have a cough and a runny nose after visiting, as their airways continue to expand, allowing their bodies to get rid of bacteria, and allergens. After frequent visits, you’ll start to notice less ear infections and colds, too!
