How Many People Have Allergies?

When you look at the amount of people that have allergies, it can be a little scary. According to AAFA.org, there are an estimated 50 million people in the United States alone with nasal allergies. The symptoms of daily allergies, or even seasonal ones can be quite annoying, interfering greatly with your day to day life. If you have allergies, or someone you love does, you are well aware of how dealing with the symptoms can be a prominent part of your day. Here are some facts about allergies that might surprise you.

It’s Not Just Stuffy Noses

Allergy symptoms can be focused in the nasal passageways, but there are also many other symptoms as well. Things like intense headaches, scratchy throat, coughing, and even chest pain are some of the more common problems that people with allergies experience. These can be year round, or seasonal depending on how much the person is affected by their triggers.

Allergens Are Everywhere

Even when you know exactly what you are allergic to, it can be hard to avoid all of your triggers. Outdoor allergies to common things in the air like, dust, pollen, and ragweed are hard to avoid when you just simply step outside of your home. The air blows these allergens around, so it’s impossible not to encounter them. Granted if you are allergic to something like grass, you can certainly avoid rolling around in it. This is especially hard for children who just want to play outside and enjoy the elements. Seeing your child suffer from allergies is such a hard thing to witness.

The Salt Suite® Can Help

The Salt Suite® is an allergy sufferer’s paradise! We offer a complete salt air or halotherapy experience that can significantly help you alleviate your allergy symptoms. There are even rooms for children to enjoy complete with toys and games that will keep them entertained during their 45 minute session.

The road to wellness is paved with salt! Salt air can naturally open up the air passageways making your allergy symptoms less severe. This is especially true when you commit to coming into our salt rooms a few times per week during peak allergy season. Monthly packages are available to make our plans an affordable option for everyone. It’s time to make your allergy symptoms a problem of the past with The Salt Suite®.

During a typical adult session customers put their feet up in a comfortable leather chair rest or read and breathe in a dry salt aerosol. The micro particles are blown in the air by halo generators. In our separate children’s room kids play in a big sand box except with salt on the walls and floor and play while breathing in the dry salt air.
