A Five-Step Guide to Healthy Skin Care

Skin care is important for everyone. And proper skin care shouldn’t have to be super complicated or require an arsenal or products. Here are a few simple tips to follow every day to keep your skin healthy.

The first thing that you should do every morning is clean your face. To do this, you should use a specialized face cleanser, not simply a bar of soap and some water. After you finish watching your face, you should pat it dry, never rub it. Daily cleansing is important for both men and women.

For men, proper care while shaving is also important. Razor burns can cause irritation on your face and may even lead to an acne breakout. By using a proper shaving cream or gel, you can guide your razor smoothly over your face. After, you shave, use a post-shave balm to moisturize and smooth out your skin.

Exfoliation is also an essential step for both men and women. It helps to get rid of dead skin cells and keep your skin in its best health. Try to exfoliate at least once a week and make it part of your regular routine. The best time for this may be on a Sunday morning if you work during the regular work week. Use a natural exfoliating scrub to open your pores and remove the dirt and oil. Next, hydrate your skin with a face mask.

Moisturiser can also help you hydrate your skin. A gel-based moisturiser is best, as it won’t make your skin feel greasy. If possible, try and find a moisturizer that also contains SPF protection if you are going to be out in the sun in this nice, cool weather. If your moisturizer does not contain sunscreen, try to find a non-greasy, waterproof sunscreen to add in addition to your moisturizer.

Putting moisturizer on your skin isn’t the only way to hydrate it. Another key to healthy, hydrated skin is drinking a lot of water. If you drink at least two liters of water during the day it will help keep your skin cells clean and hydrated.

If you follow these five tips, your skin will be healthier and clearer. To give your skin an even bigger boost, try regular salt therapy sessions! The dry salt air will help exfoliate your skin and keep it clear!
