Salt Booth

The Efficacy of a 45 Minute Session in 15 Minutes or Less

In the beginning, salt therapy was only available in salt caves three meters below ground in 2-hour sessions. Modern advances in technology allowed us to bring those benefits aboveground to our salt rooms in shorter 45-minutes sessions!

At The Salt Suite®, you can experience salt booths: a new way to get the same effective therapy for respiratory, skin, sleep, and performance during a shorter 15-minute session. Grab a session at lunch, between meetings, or even while the kids are at practice!

Imagine: longer walks, better breathing, and healthier skin. Who wouldn’t want to give their furry best friends all these benefits (and more)? Let us help your pet thrive with gentle, safe, and natural salt therapy. Reach out today to learn how we can make it happen!

Additional Options

Booths at some locations offer features like infrared therapy, red light therapy, and chromotherapy.

Infrared Therapy

All the Benefits of Natural Sun, without the UV Rays

Infrared therapy simulates warm, invigorating sunlight without utilizing damaging UV light. It’s a safer way to raise body temperature, increase circulation, and promote healing at the cellular level.

A large body of ongoing research demonstrates the many wellness benefits of infrared light.

Detox and Weight Loss. Regular infrared sauna use detoxifies fat cells to promote weight loss, as well as removes metals and toxins from the body.1,2

Lower Alzheimer and Dementia Risk. Studies show that regular infrared sauna use may lower the chances of developing Alzheimer’s and dementia.3 Increased blood flow throughout the body delivers oxygen-rich blood to the brain, organs, and throughout the body.

Improve Cardiovascular Health. Infrared provides a low heat that safely stimulates blood flow, providing benefits like those experienced through exercising, and improves heart health.4,5

Pain Relief. Sit back and relax—the infrared light warms tired muscles, causing them to relax, and increases the flow of blood (and healing oxygen) to problem areas.6

Less Depression, Stress, and Fatigue. Heat is comforting and relaxing. As you enjoy infrared therapy, your body slowly releases tensions, promoting a better night’s sleep and a clearer mind.7,8

Anti-Aging. Infrared encourages collagen and elastin production, which can help tighten sagging skin, soften rough patches, and lessen the appearance of wrinkles.9

Athletic recovery. Rest and regain your strength—and maybe even improve your endurance—with infrared therapy. It promotes muscle recovery and better circulation.10

Infrared FAQs

No. Dripping sweat usually comes from our eccrine glands. These glands are on most of our skin. They keep our bodies cool by releasing water and salt. This does clear our skin, but it is not the detox sweat that we seek from infrared. Sweating from eccrine glands for too long may cause dehydration.

Apocrine glands (found in armpits, for example) release fatty sweat. Keeping the temperature lower encourages the apocrine glands to release fat and toxins. Contrary to popular belief, hotter is not better!

Wear comfortable clothing for a hot environment. Please also bring clean socks. If you are taking salt therapy with infrared, then wearing light colors so that the salt does not show. Do not apply oils, lotions, or scents to the skin. Stay hydrated before your session.

Red Light Therapy

Stimulate All-Over Healing, From the Inside Out

Available now as an addition to your salt therapy session in some of our suites, red light therapy works to stimulate cell mitochondria, the powerhouses of our cells. This therapy stimulates collagen production and improve skin health and appearance, aid in wound healing, and help with muscle recovery.

Skin-Deep Benefits

  • Reduces inflammation1
  • Inhibits autoimmunity improving eczema and psoraisis1
  • Reduces wrinkles, improves skin firmness4
  • Increases collagen4
  • Improves facial texture5
  • Reduces fine lines5

Improves Muscle Soreness and Pain. Benefits continue during exercise and after exercise,2 reducing pain from musculoskeletal disorders.5 Red light may temporarily improve swelling and stiffness from rheumatoid arthritis.6

Helps Wounds Heal. Red light can help reduce inflammation, stimulate blood flow, and improve skin’s ability to heal.5 Combined infrared and red light are especially effective.3

Immune System Support. NASA conducted a study to learn whether red light could help support cancer patients’ immune systems, specifically healing painful mouth sores caused by chemotherapy. 96% of study participants saw improvement in healing the mouth sores. Red light is now used in other wound healing needs to support the immune system’s work.7

Sleep Better. Many of us miss out on natural light during the work week. Red light provides a natural light boost, restoring our circadian cycles.7

Chromotherapy

Discover a Rainbow of Wellness Benefits with Color Therapy

“Chromo” comes from the Greek word for “color,” but as a practice, this therapy has its roots in Mayan healing, Indian Ayurveda, Egyptian hermeticism, and Chinese medicine. Today, hospitals and research centers continue to study therapeutic applications of light, including its role in chronic pain and immune disorders.

  • Seasonal Affective Disorder, or SAD. Light therapy can help improve symptoms of depression.1,3
  • Seniors Sleep Better. Elderly patients slept better when receiving bright light therapy.2
  • Psoriasis Improvement. Blue light helped ease symptoms associated with psoriasis.4

Additional Benefits by Color5

  • Orange lifts dull complexions, revitalizes, energizes, supplies healthy nutrients to the skin to facilitate radiant glowing skin.
  • Yellow tightens and tones facial and neck muscles, detoxifies, and stimulates the sensory motor nervous system.
  • Green calms red skin, broken capillaries, acts as an anti-inflammatory, soothes rosacea and traumatized skin, aids in fading pigmentation, and evens skin color.
  • Aqua increases oxygen to the skin cells while toning and firming the skin.
  • Blue softens thickened skin, plumps lines and wrinkles, and soothes red, inflamed patchy areas.
  • Violet acts as an antibacterial, purifies, and treats acne and oiliness.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Mat

Rest, Relax, and Restore Wellness throughout the Body

Aztecs and Mayans used magnets in medicine as early as 2000 BC. Paracelsus, a 14th century alchemist, believed that magnets could attract disease and pull it from the body. Modern science has shown that magnets work to benefit the body—but not by pulling illness directly from the body!

All living things generate electricity. Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) mats use magnets to work with electric energy in the body. The low pulses pass deep into muscle, tendons, tissue, and bone.

According to Dr. Gary Ryan, Yale research shows that most illness start with a “drop” in charge at the cellular level.1 Scientists believe that PEMF increases nitric oxide in the brain, a natural chemical the brain uses to open blood vessels and promote circulation.2 Oxygen and minerals transported by blood then flow to the body helping cells, tissue, and bone to heal. Veterinarians have similarly applied PEMF to animals for the same benefits that humans receive.3

Increases Circulation. As blood vessels across the body dilate allowing blood to flow more freely, the body benefits as oxygen and nutrients circulate. Blood also carries waste product away.

Improves Bone Health and Healing. PEMF improves healing of soft tissue and bones4, 5 and may inhibit post-menopausal osteoporosis.6

Reduces Chronic Pain7

Reduces Inflamation4

May Lower Frequency of Migraine Headaches8

Diabetic Sore Healing. PEMF may reduce infection associated with diabetic foot ulcers.9
