Salt Therapy for Asthma

If you or someone you love suffers from asthma, it can be a very traumatic thing to go through. That panicky feeling where you just can’t breathe is a nightmare to deal with. Sometimes you never know when an attack might strike. Asthma is a chronic illness that affects the breathing passageways resulting in times when you feel like you just can’t breathe. This long-term disease that inflames the airways, making it difficult to take in air affects both children and adults. You can treat it with medication and an inhaler, but you may also want to take steps to treat the symptoms of your asthma with a more natural approach, halotherapy or salt therapy treatments at the Salt Suite. We have rooms for both adults and children that are considered a non-invasive method to help manage the symptoms of asthma sufferers.

Just Breathe

All you have to do when you come into one of our Salt Suite rooms if you suffer from asthma is breathe in the air during a 45-minute session. For adults the chairs are comfortable and you can listen to music, read a magazine, or play on your smartphone. It’s all up to you on what you do with your time to take in the beneficial salt air. If you’re used to getting breathing treatments at your doctor’s office, time in the salt suite will be a pleasure!  We have specially designed Halognerators that grind up salt into a fine particle and blow it into the air.  Our exhaust system circulates these particles around the room.

Children Have Special Salt Rooms

Our children hold a special place in our hearts, which is why we make sure the rooms geared towards their therapy are fun and enjoyable. We have toys and books for them to play with or they can also play with Mom and Dad.  While in the rooms, all they have to do is breathe in the salty air particles pumped into the air with our halogenerators. They may have a slightly salty taste on their lips after the treatment, but otherwise, it’s totally non-invasive and they will enjoy being in our salt rooms. They are like giant sandboxes except filled wall to wall with salt and toys.  You can even stay with them for the duration of the treatment if you choose to do so.

So whether your asthma is a lifelong issue or is more recently giving you problems to deal with, salt therapy is here to help treat those symptoms for you or someone you love.

“During a typical adult session, customers put their feet up in a comfortable leather chair rest or read and breathe in a dry salt aerosol. The microparticles are blown into the air by halo generators. In our separate children’s room kids play in a big sandbox except with salt on the walls and floor and play while breathing in the dry salt air.”
