Suitable for all levels of students. Yin Yoga focuses on the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and joints of the body. If you gently stretch connective tissue by holding a yin pose for a long time, the body will respond by making them a little longer and stronger--which is exactly what you want. Yin Yoga will help to keep the hip joints, pelvis and lower spine from becoming brittle, allowing fluidity throughout.
Suitable for all levels of students. This is a fitness based yoga focusing on breath per movement. The word Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement." The teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. Attention is placed on the breath and the journey between the postures rather than solely on achieving perfect body alignment in a pose.
For all levels. Hatha Yoga is a generic term for a physical yoga practice and this class is influenced by the Anusara, Iyengar and Kripalu styles of yoga. Enjoy a variety of yoga postures, holding them for longer to observe the fundamentals of safe alignment. Explore your boundaries and abilities with curiosity, acceptance and grace. Align the body, breath, and spirit; tapping into your full potential. A class which can be as challenging as you wish to make it; you will feel strengthened, renewed and re-energized!
Qigong focuses on the body’s Chi or energy force which is rooted in ancient Chinese philosophy and martial arts. It is a light form of exercise consisting of slow fluid movements aligned with breathing. By stretching and strengthening the muscles Qigong promotes healing in the body, balance and meditation. It is a class for all skill levels.
The Tao Yoga class consists of light stretching exercises combined with breath work. The breathing exercises are in sync with the various postures. It shares some similarities with Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on breath work. There is also a focus on how certain postures can benefit different health conditions. It is for all skill levels.
You may also rent out the room for private groups when there are no yoga classes being offered.
